Build internal tools with AI—on your desktop.
Describe internal apps in plain English—see a live preview update, pin feedback on the UI, and save reusable tools to your library.
Automate work and connect Google Workspace in the same desktop app; you approve actions, with optional scope. Share apps with colleagues in your organization using viewer, editor, or admin roles.
Claim your @handle — your unique identity on Carve, first come, first served. Teammates mention you by @handle when reviewing apps together.
App Builder
Turn ideas into desktop apps
Ship forms, dashboards, and workflows as desktop apps—describe what you need, then refine in chat while the preview updates. Pin notes on the UI to steer changes with precision. When you’re ready, invite colleagues from your company in Members (viewer, editor, or admin); shared apps appear in their library with access you control.

1
Describe
Say what the app should collect, show, or automate—no boilerplate setup first.
-
2
Preview
Watch the UI take shape and refine in chat until it matches how you work. Pin comments on the preview when you want precise, in-context feedback.
-
3
Run
Open the app from your library anytime; integrations and actions run under your control.
-
4
Share
Invite colleagues in your organization as members—viewer, editor, or admin—so teammates can run the app or help refine it, with shared apps clearly marked in the library.
Works with Google Workspace
Connect Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, and Calendar. Carve can read and act on your data—with your approval—so you can ask things like “What was my last Google Sheet?” or “Summarize my unread Gmail.”

From Idea to Execution
Build apps, automate work, and share with your org in one AI-native workspace—with approvals and scope you control.
Build apps with AI
Go from a sentence to a working desktop app: forms, lists, and flows with a live preview—iterate in chat and refine the UI with pinned notes on the preview. Save and run like any other tool.
Team sharing & roles
Add colleagues per app with viewer, editor, or admin roles. They get shared apps in the library—run internal tools together with clear rules for who can edit.
Natural language & discovery
Describe what you need in plain English. Ask questions, explore ideas, and get intelligent proposals for workflows and solutions—no code required.
Direct Execution
Execute actions directly on your machine—file operations, system commands, and more—with full transparency.
Secure & in control
Review every action before it runs—debug views and progress tracking. High-risk actions require an extra confirmation step. Optional scope lets you restrict the AI to specific folders and integrations so it can only act where you allow. Optional privacy mode keeps conversations on your device only, with no server storage.
Automated Workflows
Save repeatable multi-step automations you trigger on demand—distinct from full apps, but easy to combine with app building when you need both.
How It Works
Three simple steps from idea to execution
Describe
Tell Carve what you need in natural language—automations, file tasks, or apps you want to use again and again.
Discover
Carve analyzes your request and proposes solutions—whether that’s a step-by-step plan, an app layout in preview, or both.
Execute
Review and approve actions. Carve executes them directly on your machine with full transparency and control.

Real interface, real workflows—explore the app before you download
You approve, every time.
Nothing runs on your machine until you say so.
- See every action before it runs
- Approve, edit, or reject the plan
- High-risk actions require an extra confirmation step
- Optional scope: limit the AI to allowed folders and integrations only
Control where Carve can work
Scope is optional. Restrict the AI to specific folders on your machine and to specific integrations—or leave it open. You choose; you can change it anytime in Settings.
Limit file access to allowed folders and limit integrations (e.g. Gmail, Drive, Slack) to only the ones you allow. If you don’t set scope, Carve can use whatever you’ve connected; if you do, it can only act inside those boundaries.
- Allowed folders — Paths on your machine the AI can read and write
- Allowed integrations — Which connected services (Gmail, Drive, Slack, etc.) the AI can use
~/Documents, ~/Projects
